To act, to love, and to walk

Sometimes it is more efficient for you to walk rather than run...

I was reading the other day and a verse in the book of Micah stuck out to me and has been on my mind since then.

Micah 6:8 (TNIV)
8 He has shown all you people what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

What are we called to do?
Act, love, and walk.

Through what? How?
Justice (compassion), mercy, humbleness.

WALK humbly WITH God. The key words obviously being walk and with. We walk with God. It doesn't say run past God. Why? Because walking with God is a process.
When we walk it takes time, especially  compared to running.
When we walk it is a lot easier to notice the things around us/in us that need noticing.

What about the word mashed in between walk and with?
When we are humble we are selfless. When we walk humbly with God we aren't focused on us but we are focused on Him. When we are focused on God, our hearts will break for the things that break His heart.

Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly.
