I first heard of this organization at a conference I went to last January in Atlanta. Their main purpose is to bring clean water to areas that don't have it by building wells in these places.
Before hearing about this organization I never even thought about this being such a serious issue around the world. Charity Water has some creative ways of raising money for wells like giving up your birthday for the cause.
