A song at full potential

In crave a few weeks ago we talked about being in tune with God; is it possible and what does it mean/look like.
One of the questions that was asked was how much is God involved in our daily lives?

I think the answer to that question varies on how much we allow God to be involved in our lives.

The way this plays out in my head is like this:
Think of our lives as a band, or orchestra. When all the instruments are being played together it sounds amazing. They are at their full potential.
Now if some of the instruments aren't played, the sound doesn't have the full effect. It's not reaching its full potential. It may still sound good, but not as good as it can be.

Now relate this to our relationship with God. When he is involved in all areas of our life, we are going at full potential. But when we keep those certain areas from him, we aren't reaching that potential. Things may seem to be going good, but they aren't as good as they could be.

That's the hard part though, letting God into all areas of our life.
The selfishness in us wants to have the control.
Or we don't want to "bother God" with our problems.
Or we don't want to admit to the junk going on deep down because we are ashamed of it.

So how do we let God into all areas of our life?
It's easier to answer that question with another one:
How do you get close with someone?
Through communicating with then.
Communicate, talk with God. That's how you build relationships with people. That's how you build relationship with the creator.

Honest prayer is underrated, but it can change everything.
